An International Symposium on Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) August 31 – September 1, 2023

From 31 August to 1 September 2023, Idstein, Germany will host the FLUOROS 2023 conference, organized by Fresenius University of Applied Sciences.

This international symposium will bring together experts from academia, industry, and government to discuss the latest scientific findings on PFAS, as well as their environmental and health implications.

PFAS are a group of man-made chemicals that have been used in a wide range of industrial and consumer products, including non-stick cookware, waterproof clothing, and fire-fighting foams.

In recent years, there has been growing concern about the potential health risks of PFAS, as they have been linked to a number of health problems, including cancer, birth defects, and immune system dysfunction.

The FLUOROS 2023 conference will provide a platform for scientists, policymakers, and industry representatives to discuss the latest research on PFAS, and to develop strategies to reduce their environmental and health impacts.
